Prior to joining Thomas Hobson & Company, PLLC, Tom began his career as a staff accountant with a Tampa local firm. Over the past thirty years, he has provided tax and auditing services to privately held companies including: healthcare, real estate, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, retail and wholesale trade, professional services and not-for-profit organizations. He has worked with professionals in the legal, real estate and financial industries, assisting clients in income and estate tax planning, tax disputes and litigation matters.

Tom has also testified as an expert witness in both Federal and State Courts.

Thomas A Hobson II provides corporate and international tax services and specializes in pass through entities, closely held businesses and personal income tax for high net worth individuals. Thomas primarily serves mid-size Corporations, S-Corporations, and Partnerships and has experience in the hospitality, real estate, manufacturing and healthcare industries. Thomas also serves as the firm’s technical expert on the more complex general accounting and taxation matters.

Thomas has received his master’s degree in taxation in May of 2012 and has practical experience in both taxation and auditing, which allows for him grasp and work through complex problems quickly. Thomas is a Tampa native and is an avid college football fan that enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughter.

Michael Campbell, CPA has been practicing in the public accounting profession for over thirty years. Prior experience includes fourteen years of service with a national accounting firm attaining the level of manager responsible for both public and non public clients.

Mr. Campbell has extensive experience in auditing and financial statement preparation including public company registration and disclosure filings. He has extensive experience in banking and savings and loan industries. Other audit service experiences include mortgage banking, manufacturing, airline, government, franchising, real estate development and telecommunications.

Mr. Campbell has six years of governmental experiences in internal auditing with the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Hillsborough County, Florida. The Clerk is responsible for the preparation of the County Annual Financial Report. Internal audit experience includes compliance audits related to specific Florida Statutes and providing management reports on various departments under the control of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissions. Internal audits include reports on the County’s Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Solid Waste, Real Estate, Payroll and other Departments.

Mr. Campbell is a graduate of Cleveland State University. He has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Florida for over thirty years.
